How Does Period Delay Treatment Work?
We typically prescribe a hormone tablet called norethisterone, which works by temporarily delaying your period.
It is usually taken 3 days before your period is due
You continue taking it up to 3 times a day for up to 14 days
Your period will usually start a few days after you stop taking the tablets
